Liputan KLuBbing 20 April 2008
KLuBbing pada tanggal 20 April 2008 diadakan pada pukul 13.00-17.00 di Common Room Jl. Kyai Gede Utama 8 Bandung. Acara ini dihadiri oleh sekitar 15 orang anggota KLuB.
Adapun kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan adalah sebagai berikut:
Remastering Ubuntu dengan menggunakan Reconstructor oleh Zahris
Materi ini menjabarkan bahwa remastering atau membuat distro turunan Ubuntu bisa dilakukan dengan mudah dengan menggunakan software reconstructor. Hal-hal yang perlu disiapkan untuk membuat remastering dengan software ini adalah CD ubuntu (livecd ataupun alternate), theme dan icon serta wallpaper (jika memang ingin mengganti tampilan) , dan package-package tambahan yang akan diinstall.
Ada beberapa diskusi menarik misalkan untuk mengkonfigurasi setting default user pada distro turunan cukup dengan mengatur file konfigurasi di /etc/skel untuk kemudian dicopy ke distro turunan.
Perangkat lunak Open Source untuk GIS (Geographic Information System) oleh Firman Hadi
Materi ini memberikan contoh-contoh perangkat lunak open source untuk GIS. Ada dua perangkat lunak yang ditampilkan yaitu Grass GIS dan Quantum GIS.
Demo SMS Gateway dengan menggunakan shell script pada HP CDMA oleh Rolly M. Awangga
Materi ini mendemokan sebuah SMS Gateway HP CDMA yang dibangun dengan menggunakan shell scripting. Adapun fitur-fitur yang telah berhasil diimplementasikan oleh pemateri adalah mencatat log penelpon, mencatat log sms masuk dan mengirim sms. Ke depannya perangkat lunak ini akan diiintegrasikan dengan database.
Rapat Hardy Release Party
Adapun beberapa point-point penting yang dicapai adalah sebagai berikut:
- Hardy Release Party Bandung akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Mei 2008 di Common Room, Jl. Kyai Gede Utama 8 Bandung
- Publikasi dilakukan dengan membuat spanduk dan poster.
- Rundown acara yang akan diadakan adalah diskusi mengenai pemberdayaan IT di Bandung, installfest dan demo membangun sebuah sistem thin client.
- Pembagian tugas para panitia
